Vermeiren UK: A new era of choice and quality for the UK mobility sector

Choice. Quality. Partnership. The new standard in mobility provision.

The 2025 PMG Conference was an exciting occasion for clinicians, therapists, and suppliers alike, and a particularly significant one for Vermeiren UK, which made its official debut as the dedicated UK home of the globally recognised Vermeiren Group.

For many visitors, this was the first opportunity to experience Vermeiren’s products first-hand, and the reaction was overwhelmingly positive. Attendees welcomed the arrival of a new name in the UK mobility sector, recognising both the exceptional build quality and adaptability of the products, and expressing enthusiasm for greater choice in a market that has long needed it.

“PMG has been a huge success for us,” said Paul Everett, Head of Commercial for Vermeiren UK. “It’s been fantastic to engage directly with clinicians from across the country and to hear their appetite for new options and fresh thinking. In a busy marketplace, it’s reassuring to know there’s strong demand for innovation, quality, and a company that listens to the needs of the sector.”

Quality engineering, designed for everyday use
Founded in 1957 as a family-run company, Vermeiren has become synonymous with European engineering excellence. With decades of experience designing and manufacturing mobility and rehabilitation equipment in its own production facilities across Europe, the group proudly maintains a ‘Made in Europe’ heritage. Now present in more than 40 countries, Vermeiren’s expansion into the UK market brings with it a long-standing reputation for quality, comfort, and reliability.

At PMG, Vermeiren UK showcased a carefully selected range designed to meet real-world clinical and user needs, from entry-level wheelchairs to advanced powerchairs and postural solutions.

The Jazz S50 drew attention as a robust, steel-framed wheelchair offering exceptional value for money without compromise on performance, perfectly suited for NHS and service provision. The Trigo folding manual wheelchair impressed with its compact, user-friendly design, offering users practicality and style in equal measure.

Among the powerchairs, the Verso captured strong interest thanks to its clever convertibility, easily dismantled for transport and even convertible from powered to manual use, making it ideal for users with evolving mobility needs. The Turios, a compact rear-wheel drive model, offered clinicians the flexibility to specify it as a drive-only or with manual or powered tilt and recline, ensuring adaptability and value across a wide range of user profiles.

Completing the display, the Sigma 230 mid-wheel drive chair impressed for its smooth, stable handling and outstanding comfort, earning praise as a high-performing option for both private users and NHS-funded clients.

Postural Innovation: The Neoflex range
Beyond mobility, Vermeiren also presented its Neoflex range of postural positioning products, designed and produced in Europe to provide enhanced comfort, alignment, and support. The forthcoming Neoflex head support band attracted particular attention, offering clinicians a new level of adjustability and functionality within postural head support systems.

Together, these products demonstrate Vermeiren’s holistic approach to mobility and posture, solutions that work seamlessly together to deliver better outcomes for users and greater flexibility for prescribers.

Supporting both NHS and private pathways
One of Vermeiren UK’s key advantages is its ability to tailor solutions to suit a variety of funding routes. Whether through NHS wheelchair services, personal wheelchair budgets, or private purchases via mobility dealers, Vermeiren products can be configured to balance budgetary requirements with clinical priorities.

This adaptability allows Vermeiren UK to serve both public and private sectors, ensuring that clinicians, service managers, and mobility dealers alike can access products that meet their clients’ needs, supported by a responsive UK-based team.

A confident commitment to the UK Market
The establishment of Vermeiren UK represents a long-term investment in the British market. With a dedicated local presence and the backing of a globally respected manufacturer, Vermeiren UK is perfectly positioned to provide personalised service, reliable supply, and ongoing technical support to its partners across the country.

As the PMG Conference showed, there is strong demand for a supplier that can offer fresh ideas, reliable engineering, and genuine partnership. Vermeiren UK’s arrival delivers exactly that: a new era of choice and confidence for clinicians, service providers, and mobility dealers across the UK.
